Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
This is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it comes down to your priorities.
